| Feature | Easily soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons, soluble in alcohols and ethers, slightly soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, and insoluble in water. The bisphenol S molecule contains two hydroxyl groups and a strong electron withdrawing sulfone group, making it more acidic than other phenols. |
| Use | 1、 Bisphenol S is mainly used as a fixing agent. Bisphenol S can be used as a raw material to produce fixing agent A. 2、 It has excellent heat resistance, light resistance, and antioxidant properties, and is a raw material for synthesizing polycarbonate, epoxy resin, polysulfone, polyether sulfone, polyether inkstone resin, etc. 3、 It is also used in the manufacturing of color photography materials, photographic contrast enhancers, thermal recording materials (color developing agents), daily surfactants, and high-efficiency deodorants. Can be used as a plating solution additive, leather tanning agent, dispersant for high-temperature dyeing of dispersed dyes, phenolic resin hardening promoter, resin flame retardant, etc. It is also an intermediate of pesticides, dyes, and additives, and can be directly applied to coatings, leather modifiers, and metal electroplating brighteners. |
